We now have an authentic Cajun meat market in North Austin! Stuffed Foodstores has been open a few weeks now, and already the crowds are beginning to line up.

They carry the Zatarains and Tony Cachere and other Cajun spices and mixes you would expect. But what sets this place apart is the Cajun foods prepared on site - gumbo, shrimp, crawfish, stuffed boneless chicken, boudin, andouille sausage and turduckens. If you don't know what any of these things are, Tim Garrett, Kurt Knies and staff can answer any questions you might have.

My favorite so far is the Boneless Chicken Stuffed with Crawfish and Rice -- you just put it in the oven (they give you an instruction sheet) and about an hour later, you have a meal. Make the trip to 620 and Great Valley/Lakecreek (1 mile West of 183) and check this place out.

(I have not been paid by Stuffed, I'm just excited to not have to drive to Hebert's with 5 coolers in the back of my car - you Cajun foodies know what I mean.)
