33-acre Champion Park sits along the Brushy Creek Regional Trail near the Avery Ranch subdivision. It is named after the Champion family that used to live on the land and whose family cemetery and historical marker are within the park.
Champion Park has a unique playground for kids with a sea theme featuring a covered children’s dinosaur dig area. Kids can dig for concrete casts of dinosaur bones hidden beneath the sand.
The parking entrance to Champion Park is off of Brushy Creek Road a few miles east of Brushy Creek Park. You will also pass it when running or walking along the Brushy Creek Regional Trail.
